Field Safety Specialist - Rock Springs, Wyoming

Redi Services is seeking a dynamic and capable Field Safety Specialist to join our Health, Safety, and Environmental team based out of our Carlin, NV office. The successful candidate will assist the local operations team and HSE Director by engaging with employees, customers, regulatory agents, and the public to live up to our safety vision of EVERYBODY BACK HOME SAFE EVERY DAY!

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting regular safety inspections and audits onsite to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
• Understanding and adhering to all safety guidelines – report any incidents and be proactive in the prevention of safety and security incidents.
• Working with Operations Management Team to resolve issues that arise.
• Maintaining a strong team relationship and demonstrating a professional presence with all.
• Fostering communication with the workforce to strengthen the importance of EHS objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Producing high-quality work that meets the requirements of company policies, procedures, industry standards, and client expectations.

Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Education:

High School Degree/GED, or equivalent experience.

• Two (2) Years of Mining experience (MSHA).
• Able to work extended or on-call hours as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Good organizational skills, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• SOFTWARE/HARDWARE: Microsoft Office suite, emails, internet, adobe, excel, word, outlook, teams, etc.; computer (desk and laptop), phone, fax, copier, scanner, and other office equipment.
• Must be highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently.

Preference will be given to candidates who are:

• Bilingual- Spanish and English.
• Authorized by MSHA to provide both surface and underground MSHA training.
• Experienced in the mining industry.

Working Conditions:

• Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
• Up to 75-90% regional travel is required.
