If you’ve never seen dry ice blasting in action, you’re not alone. Here’s a visual look at how the process works. We use a nozzle connected to a dry ice storage tank. Small pellets of dry ice are forced out with compressed air and hit the surface being cleaned. The force of the pellets expels dirt and buildup, leaving behind a beautiful, clean surface. Only a small section of the outer surface gets cold, while the remainder of the equipment gets slightly cool or has no temperature change at all.
